KUA Mexican Kitchen

Our story

It all started in 2014 with two bad hombres, a bottle of tequila, and a simple plan: bring the real taste of Mexico to The Hague. Daniel (straight outta Monterrey) and Rass (born and raised here, but definitely Latin at heart) wanted more than Tex-Mex or watered-down flavours — they wanted the good stuff. Real tacos, proper mole, warm vibes.

That’s how KUA Mexican Kitchen was born — our second home and, for many, their first taste of authentic Mexican food.

Fast forward a few years (and a whole lot of guacamole), we’ve grown into KUĀ Cocina Mexicana. A name that says it all — real food, real roots, made with love and served with joy.

Pull up a chair, order a margarita, and let us show you what Mexico really tastes like.

The meaning

The meaning

KUĀLŌ!

But what does KUĀ mean?

KUĀ is the verb “to eat” in Nahuatl, the ancient language of the Aztecs — still spoken today by over a million people in Mexico. We chose this name because it connects us to our roots and honours the Indigenous cultures that shaped Mexican cuisine. At KUĀ, eating isn’t just about food — it’s about culture, history, and coming together. Kuālō means, “let’s eat!”
